“…The increase in rice grain yield over weedy check owing to different treatments was attributed to the reduced density and biomass of weeds at all stages of crop growth, which re-sulted in increased dry matter of rice and number of panicles/m 2 . These results confirm the findings of Dhanapal et al (2018) and Sunil et al (2010), who reported 50-75% increase in grain yield of rice owing to sequential application of pre-and post-emergence herbicides as compared to unweeded check.
