Abstract:Current study evaluated the effect of four plant oils, four plant powders, two inert dusts compared to Malation against one of the major stored product insects (cowpea beetle). Based on percent of reduction obtained after five months of Callosobruchus maculatus treatment, results showed that plant oils and clove oil were achieved the strongest effect for reducing the number of emerged adults of the tested insect followed by spearmint and orange depending on LC 50 values.
