“…In that study, we found that MEA tended to be less effective in this patient population, than in women with myomas ( 2 ). We also found that multiple rounds of MEA treatment may more successfully control menorrhagia from adenomyosis ( 21 ). We postulated that the thickened myometrium in women with adenomyosis caused the resistance to MEA treatment and was associated with recurrence or re-surgery.…”

“…D-ribose was subsequently indicated to be clinically beneficial for treating certain diseases, such as congestive heart failure (CHF) (7)(8)(9)(10). Although D-ribose is not stored in cells, it is essential in cell resynthesizing (7,11,12), remedial synthesis and ischemia and hypoxia (13)(14)(15). D-ribose may also be supplemented intravenously, via oral therapy or via other exogenous means, and is utilized in several D-ribose: Potential clinical applications in congestive heart failure and diabetes, and its complications (Review)…”

“…However, it is unknown whether myomas or adenomyosis can be ablated. We estimated that the microwaves destroy a part of the adenomyosis as well as the basal layer of the endometrium and the glands, since post‐MEA MRIs reveal a shrunken uterus . Once the endometrium shrinks, dienogest can be used to suppress the ectopic endometrium .…”

“…We estimated that the microwaves destroy a part of the adenomyosis as well as the basal layer of the endometrium and the glands, since post-MEA MRIs reveal a shrunken uterus. 6 Once the endometrium shrinks, dienogest can be used to suppress the ectopic endometrium. 19 The procedure we follow is to destroy the basal layer of the endometrium, where new endometrium usually develops from, and then prevent formation of new endometrium via dienogest use.…”
