Efficacy of dihydroxy-mercaptopyrimidine functionalized polymeric resin for the trace determination of Cd by SPE coupled flame atomic absorption spectrometry

Abstract: The efficacy and applicability of a cadmium extractor prepared by functionalizing polystyrene resin with 2-thiobarbituric acid is studied. This is the first time that 2-thiobarbituric acid is reported in solid phase extraction as a chelating resin.
