“…Acrylic resins are known as PMMA which can be packed or injected into moulds and solidifies through a chemical reaction of polymerization. The disadvantages of heat-cured acrylic resins connected to increased porosity, high water retention, volume variations, and irritating effect of the residual monomer have led to alternative materials such as polycarbonate resins and polyamides, acetal resins and epoxy resins [23,24].…”

Wyróżnia się dwa typy aparatów [1,59] Odpowiednio dobrany, regulowany aparat umożliwia skuteczne zmniejszenia nasilenia OSA [60][61][62], należy jednak regularnie kontrolować pacjentów, ponieważ -jak wskazują niektóre badania w dłuższych obserwacjachmoże dojść do ponownego nasilenia choroby [63]. Przeciwwskazaniami do stosowania MRA są: bezdech centralny, stany chorobowe stawu skroniowo-żuchwowego, ciężkie choroby przyzębia, znaczne ubytki w uzębieniu, konieczność uzyskania szybkiej poprawy z powodu stanu pacjenta bądź charakteru chorób współistniejących.…”
