Efficacy of continuous theta burst stimulation of the primary motor cortex in reducing migraine frequency: A preliminary open-label study

Abstract: Our results indicate that cTBS on the primary motor cortex might reduce the number of total headache and migraine days in patients with migraine. However, large-scale randomized controlled trials are necessary to further validate the findings.

“…It is also relevant to consider that there are some articles that did not use sham comparator to demonstrate NIBS efficacy on pain control in migraineurs, similarly to previous medication studies . Thus, the development of more randomized controlled clinical trials is necessary for future researches.…”
