Abstract: Background: Since 2005, artemisinin-based combination therapy (ACT) has been recommended to treat uncomplicated Plasmodium falciparum malaria in Madagascar. Artesunate-amodiaquine (ASAQ) and artemether-lumefantrine (AL) are the first- and second-line treatments, respectively.
