“…Previously, clinical studies have examined individual products, most commonly used in 1 or 2 facial areas. [7][8][9][10][11] Dual combination therapy with botulinum toxin plus dermal filler has been studied in the perioral area and lower face, where it demonstrated synergistic benefits. 12 Typically, studies have focused on assessing the pharmacologic effects of a drug or device using ratings scales that measure objective physical changes in specific facial features.…”

“…8 The authors speculated that microlesion caused by the syringe needle, rather than BTX, underlay the observed improvement in skin texture and tightness. 6 Because the treatment of (NAFL) can repair the wound surface and smooth wrinkles, 1,565-nm laser not only improves the skin texture and color of stretch marks but also helps tighten the atrophy parts and smooths the band continuously. 7 Therefore, we conducted a split-face study.…”

“…[8][9][10] The onabotulinumtoxinA CFL pivotal trials permitted flexibility of the injection pattern to allow for injection placement at and below the lateral canthus if the presentation of CFLs was predominantly a lower fan pattern ( Figure 7). 14,15 It is important to acknowledge that, particularly in males, the lower fan pattern is produced in part by the contraction of the orbicularis oculi muscles and by the zygomatici and that this pattern is more prevalent in males than females. However, overall efficacy rates in the pivotal trials suggest that one of the 2 distinct injection patterns described in the US onabotulinumtoxinA label would be appropriate for the majority of individuals with moderate or severe dynamic CFLs.…”
