“…En bloc resection was achieved in all eight gastric ESD (five ex vivo and three in vivo) cases, and there was no perforation, MP layer injury, or uncontrollable hemorrhage observed during the procedures. 11 The diode laser system has been used for a variety of surgeries, such as prostate disease surgery, 21 endovenous ablation treatment, 22 tonsillectomy, 23 and laser-assisted laparoscopic partial nephrectomy, 24 and has proven to be effective for tissue excision and hemostasis. Tang et al 14 demonstrated the feasibility of ESD using diode laser in an animal model.…”

“…In a study by He et al comparing HoLEP and diode laser enucleation, a Hawk morcellator was used in all patient groups, and no bladder injury, perforation, or injury in the urethral orifices were observed in any groups (23). In a more recent study in which Hawk morcellator was used after prostatic enucleation, no bladder injury occurred in any patient (27). In a study in which Thulium laser enucleation of the prostate and resection were compared, and Hawk morcellator was used, mucosal bladder injury was observed in 3 patients (1.6%) in the enucleation group in which a morcellator was used; however, no statistically significant difference was found between groups (p= 0.065).…”

“…It works at a wavelength of 1470 nm which is absorbed by both water and hemoglobin. Due to its excellent tissue vaporization capacity and great coagulation properties, the 1470 nm laser has been widely used in the operative management of benign prostatic hyperplasia, with demonstrated safety and efficacy [ 5 ]. Similarly, our results showed that the patients treated with the 1470 nm laser for hemostasis had a smaller decrease in hemoglobin and shorter hospital stay than patients undergoing routine tubeless PNL.…”

“…The 1470 nm diode laser has the superiority of highly efficient tissue vaporization and the creation of a stable coagulation layer [ 4 ]. Therefore, the 1470 nm laser vaporization treatment has become an important surgical method to protect patients against BPH [ 5 ]. Moreover, the 1470 nm laser appears to be a safe and effective treatment to treat parapelvic renal cysts, due to its excellent hemostatic effects and incision power [ 6 ].…”
