Effects on Ionized Calcium of a Correction of Acidosis With Alkalinizing Agents

Abstract: The effects on the ionized calcium concentration of a correction of various forms of acidosis with sodium bicarbonate or (tris-hydroxymethyl)aminomethane (THAM) were investigated in vitro in human plasma.
