Abstract: Abstract:The effects of ultrasonic-aided quenching (USQ) on the microstructure and corrosion properties of 35CrMoV steel in a simulated seawater environment (wt % (NaCl) = 3.5) were studied. “…It can be easily seen from Figure 5a,b, that the polarization curves obtained at different strain rates and deformation temperatures are similar in morphology and the I corr displacement is obvious. There is no passivation and the anode region is an active dissolution of metal, which are the results of the characteristic adsorption of Cl − onto the surface of the specimen, preventing the formation of the passivation film [1].
