Under the modern and complicated urban environment, clarifying the interaction mechanism and mutual influence mechanism between the urban tunnel and the surrounding environment is of considerable significance to the construction and operation of the tunnel. To understand and grasp the excavation-induced disturbance range and mechanism of adjacent pipeline jacking group on surrounding soils, this paper carries out relevant researches. Based on a case history of a three-hole parallel adjacent jacking pipeline in shallow overburden, a field test and assessment are performed. By setting monitoring points around the monitoring section, the earth pressure and water pressure under different buried depths and different spacing are monitored. For further discussion, the general law of soil disturbance around single-hole, double-hole, and three-hole jacking is investigated, the calculation method of lateral disturbance range and overlapping area range of pipe jacking group is deduced, and the degree of soil disturbance is evaluated as well. The results show that there will be different degrees of disturbance superposition in parallel multihole jacking due to the influence of the spacing, and the disturbance intensity is greatly affected by the parallel distance and buried depth.

The Study for Longitudinal Deformation of Adjacent Shield Tunnel Due to Foundation Pit Excavation with Consideration of the Retaining Structure Deformation

By selecting the ratio of the cumulative maximum deformation of the retaining structure to the excavation depth as the control parameter of the retaining structure deformation, this paper established a sidewall unloading model which can consider the deformation of the retaining structure and the spatial effect of foundation pit excavation. Meanwhile, the impact region of the sidewall was divided to calculate the distribution of additional stress caused by foundation pit excavation. On this basis, through introducing the collaborative deformation model for rotation and dislocation of a shield tunnel, this paper studied the longitudinal deformation of the adjacent shield tunnel due to foundation pit excavation. Moreover, several engineering cases were given to verify the reliability of the proposed method, and the influencing factors were analyzed. The following conclusions were obtained: the axial horizontal displacement of the shield tunnel by the side of the foundation pit was normally distributed, and the calculated value was in good agreement with the measured value; the longitudinal deformation of the shield tunnel was mainly induced by the unloading effect of the sidewall of the foundation pit, which was parallel and closed to the tunnel; the soil excavation in the vicinity of the buried depth of the tunnel would result in a significant increase in longitudinal deformation; with the increase in the retaining structure deformation of the foundation pit, the longitudinal deformation of the adjacent shield tunnel and its influence scope also increased; the longitudinal deformation of the shield tunnel decreased with the increase of clearances between the foundation pit and tunnel; and finally, the excavation of the foundation pit had a great influence on the shallowly buried shield tunnel nearby, and the effect of foundation pit excavation on the tunnel decreased with the increase of the burial depth of the shield tunnel.

Due to the increasingly expanding of urban rail transit, shield tunnelling adjacent to existing tunnels has become more and more common in cities. Construction of new tunnels will pose great risks to the safety of existing tunnels. This paper focused on the influence of shield tunnelling on the large-section mining tunnel in the argillaceous siltstone stratum and proposed the influence zone based on the surface subsidence criterion. By carrying out numerical simulations and model test, the surface subsidence, the internal force of the mining tunnel, and the surrounding rock pressure were monitored and the accuracy of the influence zone was verified. The research shows that the shield machine tunnels forward from one time the excavation diameter before the monitoring section until the monitoring section completes the segment assembly. This process is the main stage that causes the increase in the corresponding surface settlement and the additional displacement of the existing mining tunnel. The excavating tunnel influences on the mining tunnel structure were mainly shown at the vertical additional deformation, which is manifested as the overall floating of the mining tunnel. The influence of internal force was performed as the asymmetric change of internal force of the mining tunnel. The mining tunnel is closer to the shield tunnel, showing more significant changes of the internal force of the structures. The structure near the shield tunnel is strengthened by pressure, and the structure far away from the shield tunnel is more prone to tensile failure.
