“…For IPTS,SM-IATE and DPPETES, mono-, di-, tri-substituted siloxane bonds are designated as T 1 , T 2 , T 3 . The chemical shifts of T 2 and T 3 are À56 and À65 ppm, respectively, and conform to the literature values [16,17]. These data suggest the complete hydrolysis and condensation.…”

“…The enhanced thermal stability of POSS-containing polymers also occurs in other polymers. [53][54][55][56][57][58][59] Morphological Characterization. The WAXS patterns of the polymers and allyl-CyPOSS are shown in Figure 8.…”

“…This behaviour is characteristic of the thermal stability of POSS which stems from its silicon-oxygen structure. A proposed mechanism of thermal reinforcement is that POSS molecules restrict polymer chain motions, due to polymer-filler interactions or by the large inertia exhibited by segments of polymer containing POSS [23,24]. The compatibilising 'R' groups on the POSS encourage this interfacial interaction, allowing thermal reinforcement to be achieved.…”
