“…In general, most of these species exhibit the same pest status and continue to be managed identically in Bt and conventional cotton systems. However, due to the reduced use of insecticides for bollworms and the change of pest management regimes in Bt cotton fields, these secondary pest populations have increased and gradually evolved into key pests in the USA, India, China, Australia, and other countries (Gouse et al 2004; Sharma et al 2005; Williams 2006; Wilson et al 2006; Ho and Xue 2008; Lu et al 2008; Li et al 2010; Zhao et al 2011).
