Effects of the radio electric asymmetric conveyer (REAC) on motor disorders: An integrative review

Abstract: IntroductionThe radio electric asymmetric conveyer (REAC) is a technology that has the purpose of restoring the cellular polarity triggering the rebalancing of the endogenous bioelectric field, which considering the neurological dysfunctions, affects the neural communication mechanisms. The studies published so far show that the REAC neuromodulation technology has positive effects in treating these dysfunctions, with the principles of endogenous bioelectricity as a basis to achieve these effects.ObjectivesThis… Show more

“…Chromotherapy generates different types of waves, notably electromagnetic, which are supposed to act on the hormonal system but also at cellular level, helping to maintain an energetic balance that promotes harmonious functioning of the organism. This principle is like that of REAC (Radio Electric Asymmetric Conveyer) technology [ 47 , 48 ], which uses a burst stimulation current (250 ms and 5.8 GHz) applied to the auricle or to a specific area to be treated. The objective efficacy of this technique is reflected in an improvement in maladaptive motor behavior, which is thought to be the result of repeated stress episodes encountered throughout life.…”

“…To decrease this incidence of falling, many strategies are adopted, such as: walking aids, wheelchair, motorized wheelchair, adapting the patient's home environment, and exercises to control balance and strength [38], but most post-polio patients saw a gradual decrease in their physical mobility over the course of a decade [37]. REAC treatments have been shown to be effective in various neurological movement disorders [30]. In this study, NPO was able to optimize gait functionality in individuals diagnosed with PPS.…”

“…REAC Neuro Postural Optimization (NPO) is a single-session non-invasive neurobiological modulation treatment [ 27 , 90 ] designed to improve postural control and stability through the modulation of the neurobiological system [ 27 , 28 , 46 ]. This therapy is based on the principle that the central nervous system (CNS) plays a critical role in maintaining postural stability and controlling movement [ 91 ]. By enhancing the function of the CNS, REAC NPO aims to optimize postural control and stability [ 38 , 73 , 75 ], which can help alleviate various musculoskeletal conditions, including chronic pain, muscle imbalances, and postural distortions, and improve the overall quality of life [ 90 ].…”
