Selen ist ein essenzielles Spurenelement und kann das Auftreten und Fortschreiten
von Gebärmutterhalskrebs beeinflussen. Der Zusammenhang zwischen
Selengabe und unerwünschten Nebenwirkungen und klinischem Outcome bei
Patientinnen mit lokal fortgeschrittenem Gebärmutterhalskrebs, die
gleichzeitig mit einer Radiochemotherapie behandelt wurden, bleibt unklar. Das
Ziel dieser Studie war es, das Sicherheitsprofil von zusätzlicher Gabe
von Selenhefe zu bestimmen und das Potenzial von Selen zur Verbesserung der
hämatologischen Toxizität einer gleichzeitigen
Radiochemotherapie bei Patientinnen mit Gebärmutterhalskrebs zu
bewerten.
