Abstract: Phosphodiesterases (PDEs) are enzymes involved in the degradation of cAMP and cGMP. Selective PDE4 inhibitors (e.g., roflumilast) are effective in therapy of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease associated with neutrophil inflammation.
