Effects of Saddle Height on Performance and Muscular Activity During the Wingate Test

Abstract: RESUMOO presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar o desempenho anaeróbio e a ativação muscular durante um teste de ciclismo supramáximo em três diferentes alturas do selim. Doze ciclistas competitivos completaram um teste incremental em cicloergômetro e três testes de Wingate de 30 s em diferentes alturas do selim (referência, baixa e alta), de forma randomizada, em diferentes dias. “…All participants answered the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire, which assesses readiness for physical activity through seven questions about physical activity, cardiovascular problems, medications, injuries, and diagnostic limitations (Thomas, Reading, & Schephard, 1992) in which two positive responses to the questionnaire were a criterion for exclusion.
