Effects of resveratrol on cariogenic virulence properties of Streptococcus mutans

Abstract: Background: Streptococcus mutans is the principal etiological agent of human dental caries. The major virulence factors of S. mutans are acid production, acid tolerance, extracellular polysaccharide (EPS) synthesis and biofilm formation.
