Effects of Positive End-expiratory Pressure and Different Tidal Volumes on Alveolar Recruitment and Hyperinflation

Abstract: Positive end-expiratory pressure promotes alveolar recruitment; increasing Vt above the UIP seems to predominantly increase hyperinflation.
