Abstract:Background: Jaundice is most common problem in neonatal period. It is commonly managed by phototherapy. However, phototherapy may cause hypocalcaemia and create serious complications like convulsion. So, neonatal hyperbilirubinemia associated with hypocalcaemia has increased risk of neurotoxicity.
