“…Dados de 2016 da rede Sarah de Hospitais de Reabilitação, com base em pesquisa realizada com 2143 pacientes, também demonstram que a maioria das pessoas atendidas no hospital nesse período relataram uma renda média mensal entre dois e três SM(SARAH, 2016). Estudos brasileiros e internacionais têm demonstrado que após as pessoas serem acometidas pela LM, a renda familiar diminui significativamente e esta diminuição está associada ao fato de que grande parte dessas pessoas contribuía para a renda familiar e a LM limitou o retorno ao trabalho, ocasionando uma queda na renda mensal da família(NOGUEIRA et al, 2016;KALYANI;DASSANAYAKE;SENARATH, 2015).
