Effects of NN potentials on p Nuclides in the A ∼100–120 region

Abstract: Microscopic optical potentials for low energy proton reactions have been obtained by folding density dependent M3Y interaction derived from nuclear matter calculation with densities from mean field approach to study astrophysically important proton rich nuclei in mass 100-120 region. We compare S factors for low-energy (p, γ) reactions with available experimental data and further calculate astrophysical reaction rates for (p, γ) and (p, n) reactions. Again we choose some nonlinear R3Y interactions from RMF cal… Show more

“…The depletion of central density comparative to its value at other radial distance leads to the phenomena of bubble-like structure. This phenomenon was recently observed in 34 Si 24 and studied by many theoretical works 27,[81][82][83][84][85][86][87][88][89][90] along with our recent work 66,91,92 which have established 34 Si as a best candidate showing bubble or central depletion in its charge density distribution. Encouraging with these recent studies, we have analyzed density distribution at the center for all the isotones of N=50, 70, 82 and 126 which may be influenced by occupancy in 3s 1/2 state.…”

“…20,21 After recent interaction cross-section study by Togano et al and using low-energy limit of neutron-neutron interaction by Suzuki et al, 22 halo structure in 22 C 23 and 24 O have been confirmed. The role of 2s 1/2 orbit is found crucial as well indicating proton bubble structure in 34 Si 24 in the sd shell region. Recently, these important features in sd-shell nuclei and pf-shell nuclei are demonstrated using the relativistic mean-field approach.…”

“…Similar calculations had been implemented successfully to calculate single folded potentials (proton-nucleus potential, neutron-nucleus potential etc.) in our earlier works [8,9,10,11] and in Dutta et al [12].…”

“…In fact, For the sake of completeness, we have re-visited the results from Fig. 4 using a different set of RMF parameters, namely NL3 [11,24] . It is observed that the results for reaction rates with NL3 parameters mostly differ in the second decimal place and effectively has no notable deviation from the results of Fig.…”
