Effects of Nanoparticles on the MRR and TWR of graphene-based Composite by Electro discharge Machining

Abstract: In the current scenario, Graphene-based carbon fiber composite is highly used nanomaterial for the work-piece material that is employed in various applications (aerospace, automotive) due to its light weight, great strength, as well as high strength-to-weight ratio. In the experimental work, copper based tool electrode is used to remove the material. The work approach involves the four processing parameters of EDM such as input current (Ip), voltage gap (Vg), pulse on time (Ton) and pulse off time (Toff) which… Show more

“…This can be accomplished using various delivery systems such as nanoparticles, hydrogels, polymer-based matrices, or ceramics. Nanoparticles are an effective delivery vehicle for calcium phosphate because of their small size and large surface area 29) . They can be functionalized to provide a controlled and gradual release of calcium phosphate over a period of time.…”

“…Graphene, as a nanomaterial that has good mechanical and thermal stability and electrical properties, has great potential for use in electrochemical detection for food analysis [81][82][83] . Because graphene has a large surface area and many active sites, it has a high potential for charge molecular interactions, which can improve CPE selectivity and sensitivity [84][85] .…”

“…High-strength materials are essential to many sectors, including aerospace, space exploration, nuclear engineering, biomedical technology, and the automotive sector. However, machining these materials is a challenging task that often requires expensive cutting tools [1][2][3][4] . To address this challenge, hot machining is employed, a method that utilizes heat to soften the workpiece, minimizing its shear strength and making it easier to cut.…”
