Effects of Nanomaterial Reinforced Fibrous Casing of Sugarcane Bagasse on the Adsorption of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons in Smoked Sausages

Abstract: Novel nanocomposites reinforced fibrous casing of sugarcane bagasse containing with nanocarbon and nanoclay (0.5 and 1% wt) were developed to evaluate the adsorption effects of 4 carcinogenic polyaromatic hydrocarbons [benzo­[a]­anthracene, chrysene, benzo­[b]­fluoranthene, and benzo­[a]­pyrene­(PAH 4)] during the smoking process of dried sausage.
