Effects of methylamine doping on the stability of triple cation (FA0.95−xMAxCs0.05)PbI3 single crystal perovskites

Abstract: Despite being promising photovoltaic materials, widespread use of organic–inorganic halide perovskite materials is still hindered by their undesirable stability.

“…For FAMACsPbI 3 , the (010) plane of the yellow phase d-FAPbI 3 appears at 11.61, which cannot meet the demands of longterm stable photovoltaic devices, which is consistent with the previous reports. 33,34 Thus we chose the mixed halogen SCs as the targets.…”

“…Except for studying the impact of Cs content in Cs/MA/FA mixed perovskite films, different MA contents in (FA 0.95Àx MA x Cs 0.05 )PbI 3 with x ¼ 0, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15, and 0.2 have also been investigated. [102] Therein, (FA 0.8 MA 0.15 Cs 0.05 )PbI 3 has the appropriate bandgap of 1.45 eV comparable with that of pure FAPbI 3 , and the fabricated device realized long-term stability against water-oxygen and light for 60 days and high thermal decomposition temperature up to 305 C. In the mixed perovskite, a smaller quantity of MA þ enables strong interaction between the cation and the inorganic octahedron, thus increasing the stability of the perovskite crystal structures. Figure 7b exhibits XRD profiles versus time of FA 0.85 Cs 0.15 PbI 3 and FA 0.758 MA 0.152 Cs 0.091 PbI 3 .…”

“…20 Many groups have studied the effect of humidity and oxygen on the perovskites. [20][21][22] Hao Xiong et al have studied solvent vapour annealing of oriented PbI 2 lms for improved crystallization of perovskite lms in the air. 23 Jun Luo et al studied the mechanism and effect of g-butyrolactone solvent vapour post-annealing on the perovskite of a mesoporous solar cell structure.…”
