“…The FT‐IR spectrum consists of two regions namely functional and fingerprint. The functional region where many stretching frequencies appear is between 4000 and 1500 cm −1 , and the fingerprint region is below 1500 cm −1 and has many peaks that are difficult to assign . In Figure , the broad absorption at the wavenumber range 3580 to 3200 cm −1 arises because of stretching hydrogen bonds ascribed to the hydroxyl group (O─H) vibration of dye .…”

“…The signals in the range 2950 to 2850 cm −1 are related to the stretching vibrations of ─CH, ─CH 2 , and ─CH 3 . The peaks between 1600 and 1640 cm −1 indicate the ─C═C─ stretch alkenes and/or the benzene rings, while the band at 1717 cm −1 can be ascribed to the stretching mode of the carbonyl group (─C═O) . The band located at 1025 cm −1 can be associated with asymmetric stretching of (─C─O─C─) modes, while the band at 820 cm −1 can be assigned to the symmetric stretching mode of the aliphatic ether group.…”

“…Two sensitizers having CZ donor, PTZ π‐bridge, and rhodanine acetic acid as acceptor were reported by Jiao et al, 69 and in contrast, benzene π‐bridge was inserted between the CZ donor and PTZ with the para‐ or meta‐connection mode ( 6 and 5 ). DSSC devices demonstrated a 5.57% and 4.56% PCE for dye having para and meta substitution, respectively.…”
