Effects of Interferences in Uhf Rfid Systems

Abstract: Abstract-The Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) applications are growing rapidly, especially in the UHF frequency band that is being used in inventory management. Passive UHF tags are preferred for these applications. In this paper, RFID reader-to-reader interference is analyzed. A model to estimate the minimum distance between readers to achieve a desired probability of detection in real multipath environments is derived and compared to the ideal case (AWGN channel). Diversity techniques to combat multipat… Show more

“…Presently much effort is dedicated to the development of RFID antennas by implementing various technologies [4][5][6]; however, the development area appears deserted while encountering the issues interconnected to the field of economic and eco-friendly tags comprising of paper substrate. It often overlooked while mentioning the paper printed RFID tags that use of paper defines the entirely new era of electrical performance, which encounters from, new set of issues [7,8]. The polymer-covered paper substrates have been used to demonstrate electrochemical displays.…”

“…Besides, we have also investigated and studied such special situation. It can be seen from the assembly site that if such situation occurs in a month and quality issues are rare, tracing method is proposed in the paper that: quality error corrective measures are designed from the position contacting to the parts first when human factors are eliminated; reduce the occurrence rate of defective parts contacting to the position first down and keep observing [10].…”

“…The frequency band allocation and transmission power permitted depend on the country or region, and the technology has reduced area coverage, an insufficient range resolution for accurate localization and a scarce multiple-access capability. In addition, UHF RFID technology is also influenced by multipath propagation [4], interference between readers [5] and frequency detuning when tags are attached to materials [6].…”
