“…Generally, the high density twin band acts as the source of flow localization and adiabatic shear band in the low stacking fault energy material deformed under low deformation temperature or high strain rate condition [72], which is corresponding with the microstructure observation results. The similar reports has also been made in Ti-15-3 titanium alloy [73], 22Cr-19Ni-3Mo austenitic stainless steel [74] and other nickel base superalloy [16,75,76]. As to the heterogeneous microstructure and high density twins detected by TEM, the unsafe region should be avoided in the hot working process.…”

“…In their proposed models, material constant are expressed as functions of the initial content of δ phase. On the other hand, Wen et al [25], Chen et al [26], Zhang et al [27], and Jiang et al [28] developed the processing maps of some nickel-based superalloys, and the optimized processing parameters were obtained. Besides, Lin et al [29] found that the discontinuous dynamic recrystallization plays a major role on the nucleation of dynamic recrystallization (DRX) during the hot deformation of GH4169 superalloy.…”

“…Mignanelli et al found that flow softening of the V207M nickel-based superalloy is closely related to the orientation of δ phase [28]. Wen et al stated that in the case of an appropriate initial aging time, δ phase is capable of stimulating the occurrence of dynamic recrystallization and further improving the hot formability [29]. According to the aforementioned literature, it can be concluded that γ precipitates help to enhance the mechanical properties of nickel-based superalloys at elevated temperatures, which are dependent upon the volume fraction, size, shape, and distribution of γ phase.…”
