Abstract:Sepsis is a systemic inflammatory response to infection and a major cause of mortality. The hypertonic saline solution (HSS) has been showed to improve hemodynamic and inflammatory response. We studied the hypertonic solution effects in sepsis through cecal ligation and puncture (CLP) in mice Balb‐C, divided in 3 groups: CLP without treatment (C); CLP treated with saline solution 0,9% ‐ 34mg/Kg (SS); CLP treated with HSS 7,5% ‐ 4ml/Kg (SH); and a 4° group to indicate the basal values without both CLP and treat… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
