“…The FTIR spectra of untreated and treated CTPF‐reinforced polymer composite specimens are shown in Figure 3a–e. The narrow heights witnessed in the wavelength range between 783.56 and 998.33 cm −1 are associated with the COH expansions and shaking of cellulose in the reinforcements of UCTPFC, ACTPFC, BCTPFC, PCTPFC, and SCTPFC 42 . The peaks in the range between 1010.36 and 1097.44 cm −1 are associated with the CO asymmetric stretching vibration of cellulose.…”

“…The chemical treatments like alkali, benzoyl peroxide, potassium permanganate and stearic acid on CTPFs partially dissolve the wax, hemicellulose, and lignin on the surface of the CTPFs resulting in rougher surfaces. These treated CTPFs when reinforced in UPR matrix result in composite specimens ACTPFC, BCTPFC, PCTPFC, and SCTPFC of better interfacial bonding between the fiber and the matrix 42 . The reinforcement of treated CTPFs also enhances the stress transfer between the fiber and the matrix in the composite specimens ACTPFC, BCTPFC, PCTPFC, and SCTPFC resulting in better resistance to failure when subjected to loads.…”

“…The effects of asphalt binder mainly depend upon the time-temperature shift function is rather small and could be disregarded. Therefore, a unique time-temperature shift function can be applied for various (different) penetration-graded asphalt binders [8]. Asphaltic concrete is well known it mainly depends upon both strain rate and climate conditions.…”
