Effects of growth temperature and chilling duration on leaf phenology of Fauria crista-galli subsp. japonica, an alpine snowbed geophyte

Abstract: I examined the effects of growth temperature and winter duration on the leaf phenology of Fauria crista-galli plants, which have an indeterminate growth habit. After a 220-day chilling treatment, the leaf expansion and green periods of plants maintained at 25/20°C were much longer than those of plants maintained at 15/10°C and of plants at the natural habitat obtained in a previous study.
