“…These findings align with those of [45,46]and found that LPE treatment was followed by a notable normalization of these parameters in rats. Furthermore, LPE showed improve in growth, antioxidant status, and immunological response, reducing oxidative stress and preventing free radical formation [47,48]. It has been discovered that phytocompounds, particularly flavonoids, have the ability to protect membranes and biological macromolecules from free radical damage [49].…”

“…Intestinal histological assessment is an effective method to assess the effect of dietary components on the intestinal health of fish (Chauhan and Singh, 2018;Ding et al, 2020). Some studies found that tea polyphenols and fermented feed could increase the height of intestinal villi and thickness of the muscle layer in fish, and improve the intestinal histology of fish (Mamauag et al, 2019;Ma et al, 2021;Zhuo et al, 2021). It was found that the height and width of intestinal villi of juvenile largemouth bass were higher than those of the control group after feeding FT, which indicated that the integrity and stability of the intestinal tract were enhanced, thus strengthening the digestion and absorption of nutrients by juvenile largemouth bass and promoting their growth, this might be one of the reasons for their better growth performance compared to the control group.…”

“…Microbes will make adjustments to certain substrates, so that the cell growth process increases along with the increase in the amount of nutrients present in the substrate, this also affects the amount of lactic acid which will increase (Zofia et al, 2020) . This is supported by Zhuo et al (2021) who said that the addition of a high mass of lemon peel causes the substrate reshuffle process to produce energy for bacterial cell proliferation. After fermentation, the lemon peel fiber will be degraded into simple carbohydrate prebiotics such as galactose and xylose.…”
