Effects of extending the light phase on diapause induction in a Japanese population of the two-spotted spider mite, Tetranychus urticae

Abstract: Artificial lighting is a merit of a 'plant factory', which might be utilized to suppress an increase in pest population. We investigated the effects of extending the light phase on diapause induction in the two-spotted spider mite (TSSM), Tetranychus urticae.
