“…For WA10, the K 1 values also generally decreased, but the rate coefficients of PFASs under 1 mg/L FA were higher than those of 0.5 mg/L and 5 mg/L, except for PFOS and PFDA. Previous studies have reported that co-adsorption was likely to occur between PFAS and aromatic DOM, a factor that might promote the removal process [ 60 , 61 ]. Therefore, 5 mg/L FA might block more sites while co-adsorption between PFAS and FA might not occur easily under 0.5 mg/L FA due to the low FA content.…”

“…The characteristic peak at 560 cm −1 corresponds to Fe–O bond, 54 and it can be inferred that both aerated and non-aerated flocs contain iron oxide compounds. From 1300 to 1670 cm −1 , both flocs and NOR showed resemble peak shapes, peaks appeared at 1633, 1489, 1382 cm −1 , corresponding to the characteristic peaks of CO, aromatic CC bond 55 and –COO − group, 56 respectively. It indicated the formation of interaction between NOR's functional groups and flocs.…”

“…They are commonly used to treat certain diseases in humans, chickens, cattle, fish, swine, etc. Indiscriminate discharge of these drugs has increased their presence in the environment, with a consequential impact on aquatic life, triggering changes in their growth and survival [ 4 , 5 ]. In addition, they also aid bacterial resistance, posing serious human health and environmental concerns [ 2 , 6 ].…”

“…Several wastewater treatment methods have been investigated for the degradation/removal of NRFX from wastewater such as adsorption [ 1 , 4 , 6 , 7 , 9 , [12] , [13] , [14] , [15] , [16] , [17] , [18] ], membrane filtration [19] , adsorption-photocatalytic [20] , coagulation [21] , electrocoagulation [22] , [23] , [24] , photo-Fenton [25] , electro-Fenton [26] , photocatalyst [27] , sonocatalytic [28] , etc. The membrane separation method is costly and susceptible to fouling [18] .…”
