“…There have been few studies on the use of these feed additives in olive flounder diets. A variety sources of dietary additive, such as obosan â (herb) (Kim, Kim, Jung, Lee, Lee & Moon 1998;Kim, Moon, Jeong & Kim 2000), Scutellaria baicalensis (Cho, Jeon, Kim, Kim & Kim 2013), wasabi (Park, Kwon, Lee, Kim, Shin & Lee 2003), mushroom mycelium (Phellinus linteus and Coriolus militaris) (Kim, Kim, Kim, Kim & Heo 2006), green tea (Cho, Lee, Park, Ji, Lee, Bae & Oh 2007), Chlorella powder (Kim, Bai, Koo, Wang & Kim 2002) and onion extract (Cho 2011) on growth, body composition, muscle quality and/or immune response of olive flounder has been reported. However, since mortality due to outbreak of disease and growth retardation under unfavourable environmental conditions for flounder farming over year-round keeps occurring, more studies to develop dietary additive to improve performance of fish are still highly needed.…”
