“… The Kolmogorov-Smirnov goodness-of-fit analyses validates that the dataset comes from the probability density model of application for probability values (p-values) ≥ 0.05, otherwise the dataset having Kolmogorov-Smirnov goodness-of-fit p-value < 0.05 does not follow the probability density model of application [21,[28][29][30][31][32]. Figure 6, R-T_COP_5% indicates comparison between datasets from raw and treated crude oil polluted soil having 5% w/w Escravos Light pollution, while R-T_COP_8% compares the raw and treated crude oil polluted soil system with 8% w/w pollution.…”

“…The two concentrations of pollution designs for the study include 5% w/w for simulating light oil spill and 8% w/w for simulating heavy oil spillage of each of the raw and treated crude oil pollution of the soil samples. Each of the systems was inoculated with Aspergillus niger fungus strain of microorganism that was obtained from the culture collection centre of the Applied Biology and Biotechnology Unit, Department of Biological Sciences, Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria [19][20][21][22]. The sub-culturing of the fungus strain on Sabourad Dextrose Agar (SDA) slant was as detailed in [23].…”

“…Out of the T. grandis leafextract paste obtained from the procedure detailed, 25 mg was dissolved and made up to a volume of 1000 ml using 0.1 M AgNO 3 , that is, silver nitrate (Sigma Aldrich5). As detailed in [5,15], after 48 hrs, sample was obtained from the dissolution, which was then centrifuged at 3,500 rpm for 15 minutes in the Laboratory Centrifuge, Model SM-80-2 obtained from Surgifield5 (England). The resultant supernatant was then poured out before the biosynthesized nanoparticle residue got transferred to a watch glass for air drying and afterwards collection in Eppendorf tubes.…”

“…Sample from the biosynthesized T. grandis capped silver-nanoparticle was prepared and then characterised using a Pro X PHENOM6, Model 800-07334 (Phenomworld5, Netherlands) scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectroscopy (SEM + EDS) instrument. For this characterisation, the sample was placed on a sample stub for loading onto the stage of the Quorum Sputter Coater, Model Q150R ES, obtained from Quorum Technologies Limited5 (England), and for coating the sample with gold [5,15]. This was followed by the removal of the sample stub, from the International Journal of Chemical Engineering coating instrument, for placing on standard sample holder mounted on the Pro X PHENOM, Model 800-07334 obtained from Phenomworld (Netherlands).…”
