Effects of dark energy on P–V criticality of charged AdS black holes

Abstract: In this Letter, we investigate the effects of dark energy on P − V criticality of charged AdS black holes by considering the case of the RN-AdS black holes surrounded by quintessence. By treating the cosmological constant as thermodynamic pressure, we study its thermodynamics in the extended phase space. It is shown that quintessence dark energy does not affect the existence of small/large black hole phase transition. For the case ω q = −2/3 we derive analytic expressions of critical physical quantities, while… Show more

“…Near the critical point, the heat capacity will diverge. It also shares the same critical phenomena and scaling laws [69,71]. For there are the dark energy corresponding state parameter α and state equation p = ωρ corresponding parameter ω in the charged AdS black holes with cloud of string and quintessence(charged AdSQ black hole).…”

“…It also shares the same critical behavior as that of the vdW fluid. Especially, when the parameter ω = −2/3, the analytical critical point can be obtained [69] r c First, we use Maxwell equal-area law to study the condition of phase transition occurs with Q, α and ω fixed and with differential conjugate variables P − V and T − S.…”
