Abstract:In this study, the changes in the catalase, superoxide dismutase, carbonic anhydrase activities, and the levels of malondialdehyde in the muscle, liver, gill, skin, brain, and intestinal tissues of carps (Cyprinus carpio), in which 0.1 mg/L and 0.2 mg/L concentrations cyanide were added, were investigated. It was determined that the catalase, superoxide dismutase, and carbonic anhydrase activities of fish exposed to cyanide were inhibited in some tissues and increased in some tissues. Especially in 15-day expe… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
