Effects of CNC Processing Parameters on Surface Quality of Wood-Based Panels Used in Furniture Industry

Abstract: The processing of wood-based panels such as plywood, particleboard and fiberboard, which are widely used in the furniture industry, with CNC (Computer Numerical Control) milling machines has been increasing recently. Even though CNC milling machines have many advantages for furniture producers, it is difficult to set process parameters to obtain the desired surface quality of the material. Therefore, it is necessary to determine the most suitable of these parameters for the surface quality of each wood-based p… Show more

“…Plywood parts can be joined in various ways and the technological aspects of joinery can be easily learned on a basic level. The material is produced in many factories worldwide and therefore provides access worldwide [57]. The material should be adjusted to the production location according to the type of trees grown locally.…”

“…Therefore, the forest area of each country is chosen to measure its forest resource endowment. According to the development pattern of the wood-based panel industry structure, the wood-based panel industry in various countries will undergo a transformation from labor-intensive industries to technology-and capital-intensive industries [38,39]. Therefore, the proportion of agricultural and forestry workers in RCEP countries is selected to reflect their labor resource endowment [40].…”
