Effects of Ciji Hua’Ai Baosheng formula on apoptosis correlation factors of tumor chemotherapy model mouse with H22 hepatomacarcinoma cells

Yi C1,
et al.

Abstract: Background: Side effects of chemotherapy are major issues for cancer patients and there are few methods to release these. However, traditional Chinese medicine is one of the options for these patients. This study is to evaluate one traditional Chinese empirical formula -the Ciji Hua'ai Baosheng Formula (CHBF) on apoptosis related factors in a transplanted tumor chemotherapy model. Materials and Methods: H 22 hepatoma cells were injected into peritoneal cavity and Cytoxan (CTX) (200mg/kg) was used to treat thes… Show more

“…Indeed, to our knowledge, there are only two published papers, one by the authors describing Ciji Hua'ai Baosheng Granule Formula (CHBGF) inhibiting the growth of hepatic carcinoma by increasing apoptosis in a chemotherapy-induced mouse model (Xi et al, 2014), and the other by Cheng et al who using a similar model, described Ciji Hua'ai Baosheng Formula (CHBF) enhancing apoptosis of malignant hepatocytes by elevating Bax and Caspase-3 proteins while reducing anti-apoptosis related Bcl-2 protein levels (Cheng et al, 2015).…”

“…Ammonia is a principal metabolic waste product in the aquatic system generated by the process of protein catabolism using faces or unconsumed feeds as a substrate, and its accumulation leads to compromise the health of aquatic species including shrimp (Liang et al, 2016; Ren et al, 2015). The presence of a high amount of ammonia in the tissue of aquatic organisms could lead to erosion and degeneration of tissue, comptonization of the immune system, retardation of growth and occurrence of mortality (Cheng et al, 2015; Kaleo et al, 2019). Aquaculture process at different production cycles could give rise to the appearance of a variety of stresses, acute or chronic, affecting aquaculture species including shrimps and fish (Jia R et al, 2016).…”
