Effects of Body Posture and Different Exercise Intensity on Athletes’ Limb Injury

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to solve the problem of the influence of body posture and different exercise intensity on athletes’ limb injuries, to meet the needs of understanding athletes’ injuries, and to make up for the lack of investigations on athletes’ limb injuries; this also increases the chances of an athlete avoiding injury. Severe acute sports injuries of high-level gymnasts endanger the personal safety of athletes. Many movements in gymnastics are done in the air much higher than the ground, and th… Show more

“…In our study, we analyzed also body posture parameters, which remain relatively unexplored in the case of injury risk. A previous study considers body posture as a possible factor of injury risk [ 56 ]. However, not many studies have provided such analysis, which makes it difficult to discuss our study with other results.…”

“…Chronic injuries usually develop gradually and are linked to repeated motions, movements, patterns, or sustained stress at a specific location, in contrast to acute injuries, which happen quickly and are frequently the consequence of a singular occurrence or trauma. (16,17) Individuals who participate in frequent physical activities, where the same set of actions are done again, are more likely to get these injuries. This type of injury includes tendinitis (inflammation of a tendon) (18,19) stress fractures (20) runner's knee (Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome) (21) shin splints (22) stiffness and muscle imbalances, and bursitis (inflammation of the bursa).…”

“…highlighted that practitioners often misinterpret alignment cues, leading to incorrect muscle engagement, potentially increasing the risk of injury. Furthermore, the diversity of body types and physiological differences among individuals necessitates a personalized approach to yoga instruction [5]. Without an empirical understanding of anatomical constraints, instructors may inadvertently prescribe poses unsuitable for certain individuals.…”
