Effects of Application of Night Splint in the Management of Plantar Fasciitis

Abstract: Background: Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel pain. The condition usually comes on gradually without any injury. Clinically there is pain and tenderness in the sole of the foot, mostly under the heel, with standing or walking. The diagnosis of patient with planter fasciitis is essentially clinical. Treatment options for planter fasciitis include rest, stretching, strengthening exercise, shoe modification, arch supports, orthotics, night splints, anti- inflammatory agents, and surgery. … Show more
