Effectiveness Of Vascular Markers (immunohistochemical Stains) In Soft Tissue Sarcomas

Abstract: Among these four markers, ERG immunohistochemical stain is highly effective for endothelial differentiation due to its specific nuclear staining pattern in normal blood vessel endothelial cells (internal control) as well as neoplastic cells of vascular tumors and lack of background staining.

“…The tumors from all groups were obtained by CD34 immunohistochemical staining as well as H&E (hematoxylin and eosin) staining to explore the different treatment effects. , As shown in Figure d,e, the cells in group I arranged closely with no vessel damage and necrosis, proving good biocompatibility, low dark toxicity, and low side effects of DAA NPs in vivo . Compared with group II (some serious vessel destruction and slight apoptosis) and group III (minor vessel damage and mild necrosis), the vessel length in group IV was shortest and obviously cell apoptosis or necrosis were observed, indicating the significant cancer ablation of DAA NPs caused by the synergistic antivascular activity of DMXAA and phototherapy of photosensitizer DPP-4.…”

“…Epithelioid angiosarcoma generally shows positivity to CD31 and 34, Fli 1, ERG and claudin-5, with the expression of immunohistochemical stains CD31 and CD34 being variable [ 9 , 10 , 23 ]. ERG, on the other hand, has the highest sensitivity (reaching 100%) and a high specificity [ [23] , [24] , [25] ].…”

“…Clinical and pathological findings are necessary for diagnosis, and hematoxylin and eosin staining and immunohistochemistry are essential. Immunohistochemical staining includes the lymphatic endothelial marker D2-40 (podoplanin) and the vascular endothelial markers Factor-VIII-related antigen (Factor-VIIIRA), CD31, CD34 [18], vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), and ERG [19, 20].…”
