Abstract:Background:(R)-(+)-perillyl alcohol is a naturally oxygenated monoterpene that is produced in perilla leaves, citrus, lemon and lavender. Perillyl alcohols have many uses, including natural flavor additives, insecticides, jet fuels and anti-cancer therapies.
