Навіть незважаючи на те, що практикум має інтегрувати та використовувати щойно набуті теорії, навички та знання, існує величезна несумірність між типами навичок та знань, наданих освітніми програмами, та реаліями робочої практики. Мета дослідження -вивчити наочні особливості ефективності практикуму та набутої професіональної компетентності студентів-випускників. Методи: було використано кількісний дослідний підхід та описовий дизайн. Усі 169 студентивипускники університету Dilla були обрані за допомогою багатоступінчастої вибірки. Анкети було використано як засіб збору даних. Середнє, стандартне відхилення, особистісна кореляція та однобічний аналіз дисперсії було використано для аналізу даних.

Students' pre-service teachers' placements in preschool settings are an integral part of the educational process within the educational institutions. During their placement students receive art education and are invited to implement art-related programs. The aim of the study was to perceive the anxieties students face when engaging in practice of an art-based program and to record the in-service teachers' experiences from the collaboration with the students. The study was based on a mixed methodology that included a pre-intervention questionnaire on students' attitudes, event recording during implementation, post-implementation questionnaire and in-service teachers' interviews after the end of the program. Ethical procedures ensured that participants have given informed consent and their identities have been protected with the right to withdraw. The pre-intervention findings showed that the pre-service teachers felt inadequate for the implementation of the program because of the limited knowledge on the use of art in the educational process. The post-intervention results expose that pre-service teachers had a more enhanced understanding of art-based programs in practice, and felt more confident and capable of having in-service teachers' support and knowledge. The high-quality teaching and learning opportunities, support structures, and trust building are critical factors in strengthening pre-service teachers' skills. Links between studies and the reality of practice are discussed.

BackgroundThere remains some uncertainty on the role and nature of undergraduate-level rehabilitation education (URE) programs and service providers The existing research remains wide-ranging and limited.ObjectivesThis study evaluated perspectives from URE program stakeholders on key areas of research need relating to (a) undergraduate rehabilitation education, (b) URE graduate professional identity, and (c) professional issues relevant to URE.MethodsSurveys of URE perspectives on areas of research need were completed by thirty-nine URE stakeholders. A qualitative content analysis was utilized to identify themes within the data.FindingsParticipants identified a variety of areas of research need within the three broad content categories. Frequently cited topics included URE graduate outcomes, the place of URE programs and service providers in the greater field of rehabilitation, program accreditation, and areas of best practice in URE.ConclusionsThe findings of the current study highlight multiple areas of research need. To best prepare URE graduates for success and to bolster the current status of the field of rehabilitation, a better understanding of the role and nature of URE will be valuable.
