Abstract:Background: General anaesthesia is used for breast cancer surgery. The downside of generalanaesthesia includes inadequate pain control and a high incidence of nausea and vomiting. Generalanaesthesia with intravenous dexmedetomidine or intercostal nerve block reduce the incidence ofpostoperative pain.
