Effectiveness of cognitive analytic therapy for mixed anxiety and depression in the context of borderline traits: A quasi-experimental single case design evaluation.
Abstract:This paper reports a single case design of Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), an integrative and relational psychotherapy model, for the treatment of mixed anxiety and depression. CAT can be effective in improving an individual's difficulties with self-worth and connection with emotions. Single case methods are particularly well matched as an evaluation tool for routine CAT practice; however more studies employing more complex designs are needed.
