“…The previously obtained experimental values of the g- factor and effective mass for HgTe quantum wells are contradictory and depend on the width of the quantum well and the electron density [ 39 , 40 , 41 , 42 , 43 , 44 , 45 , 46 ]. It was previously noted [ 39 , 40 , 41 , 42 ] that there is a problem of accordance between theoretical and experimental estimates of the effective mass in such QWs. If we systematize the currently available numerous experimental estimates of the effective mass in QWs based on HgTe, it is shown that with an increase in the density of charge carriers from ~2 × 10 15 m −2 to ~1 × 10 16 m −2 increases from ~0.020 to (0.026–0.034) (see, for example, [ 42 , 43 , 44 , 46 ]).…”
