Effective copolymerization of ethylene with α,ω-alkenols and homopolymerization of α,ω-alkenols catalyzed by aminophenolate zirconium complex

“…It is also worth noting that it exhibited much higher activity in copolymerization than in ethylene homopolymerization or ethylene/1-olefin copolymerization which is contrary to most tested catalysts. Good catalytic activity and incorporation ability in copolymerization of ethylene with 10-undecen-1-ol and with 9-decen-1-ol showed the zirconium catalysts Zr-6/Al(iBu) 3 / Ph 3 CB(C 6 F 5 ) 4 [97]. The copolymerizations were carried out at various conditions and the polar monomers were subjected to pretreatment with various alkylaluminium compounds but Al(iBu) 3 was found to be the best protecting agent.…”
